(I Want to Say) Thank You

Today I sit here and am reflecting on my day. It’s been a stressful morning. High expectations and lots of pressure. When I sat down to reflect, I turned on my kids worship music. The song is called (I want to say) Thank You. And the best part about it is the chorus. Catchy and has a great beat. But the words ring so true. In the pressure situation I was in, and the feedback I was getting, it can feel as if you’re not enough. And feel as though you don’t amount to anything except your accomplishments.
But this song just says, “I want to say thank you, for the way you love me.”
It’s a great reminder that we are called to worship. To surrender self and praise our lord. It allowed me to be reminded that there are things far greater than the situation I’m going thru. But it’s also a reminder that even when things aren’t going perfect we can still find so many things to say thank you for.
The God that makes the whole earth spin and float cares about me. In my good and my bad.
Great reminder to find every opportunity to turn to Jesus through worship music, the word, and prayer.
Stay connected to the vine and you’ll find yourself saying Thank you. Even in the hardest of times.
