Our Weakest Moments

Last week was the close of our four-part series on life is unfair. If you missed any of them, you could check them out here.

I came across this quote while watching one of my new all-time favorite tv characters and it made me think of our journey these past four weeks.

I hope that either all of us or none of us are judged by the actions of our weakest moments, but rather by the strength we show when and if we’re ever given a second chance.

If you’d like to watch the clip of this, I found it for you. “Our Weakest Moments”

This quote made me really think about this line from last week:

if life were fair, then everyone would receive the just reward for his or her actions.

How deserving I am to be judged by my moments of weakness. I’ve fallen short continually and frequently. But it doesn’t have to be how I identify. I don’t have to find my worth in my mistakes.

Because there is also this line from last week:

Now, everyone who has ever sinned has the opportunity to go to heaven through belief in Jesus. In a fair life, no such opportunity for grace would exist.

We will be judged by our weakest moments. But the radical grace that Jesus offers us is our second chance. The strength that The Human One showed will be enough to give us a second chance. All we must do is believe!

My challenge to you as you read over this quote and let it fully sink in is, that if Jesus offers you a second chance, where could you be offering a second chance? Who or what in your life is deserving of that?

Jesus is The Human One and we believe there is no better way to see him than in his humanity. If you have questions about that, we would love to walk with you in knowing him more. You can reach out to us here
