Is there room?

“and she gave birth to her firstborn, a son. She wrapped him in cloths and placed him in a manger, because there was no guest room available for them.”

Luke 2:7

Is there room for him?

Do you leave space for Jesus in the busyness of the holidays?

Is HE the primary reason for the Christmas season, or does Santa, the Christmas tree, the lights, and the holiday parties all take a bigger priority?

So many people, when Jesus was born, missed that special day. They were too busy. There was too much going on. People couldn’t be bothered. So much so that Mary and Joseph couldn’t get a room. So, Mary’s baby was born in a manger. That’s just a nice way of saying a dirty food trough used for animals.

I just want to encourage you on this Wednesday, with only 5 days left till Christmas, don’t miss it.

Don’t miss him. Jesus. The reason for the season.

Over the next 5 days there will be more busyness, more family, more shopping, more cooking, more, more, more!

But let this Wednesday ONE be a reminder all week that we don’t want to miss it.

We don’t want to be so busy, so occupied, so distracted, that we don’t make room for the best part of this time of the year.

Jesus! Who was born a baby. The Human One! Lived an entire human life from conception, to birth, young boy to young man.

And it all started with this holiday we call Christmas.

Let’s make sure that we have room available and ready for him.
